First and foremost, welcome to Chelsea Sylvester Photography, my name of course is Chelsea! I am a photographer, along with a mother, a wife, a sister, a daughter, and a very family oriented woman! I have three children of my own and have been blessed with my family & the ability to cater to all of my clients with gorgeous photographs. For that reason, I specialize in Belly, Birth, Baby + Beyond. I am here to capture every single one of your memories during one of the biggest and most beautiful time of your growing family's life!

 

Maternity sessions are the "belly" to this equation. I, as a momma have been there before- so I know what I personally preferred while being pregnant and will help to give you tips and tricks to help you get the most beautiful photographs and actually enjoy and embrace this special time! Whether its making you feel your absolute best and providing you with absolute TIMELESS and BEAUTIFUL photographs of your pregnancy, or if its a posing recommendation, a gown or location recommendation or just needing someone to reassure you that the mood swings and night insomnia is totally normal, I am your girl!

 

After "Belly" comes "Birth". During our Birth Story Sessions, I can be one of two people. Some prefer that I am a fly on a wall, and i promise you wont hurt my feelings if that's what you want! (I have tough skin & know that sometimes when you're in labor, the LAST thing you want is small talk!) I have also advocated and acted as a coach for some of my mommas, reassuring you that YOU CAN DO THIS, YOUR BODY WAS CREATED FOR THIS! One of my favorite and most helpful tips to tell mommas during contractions is that the contraction is like a wave, ride the wave and work with the wave because each wave is getting you closer to the shore! In the scheme of things, the moment of triumph where your babe is held up and placed on your chest, THAT is your shore and that's what your main goal is! If you need someone to hold your hand, or to help distract you from your labor, I can do that too! Everything is customized and planned to exactly what YOU want mama, so let your labor team focus on you and let me capture the memories!

 

Baby is here now, that is where we focus on them! (And still you too!) Newborn sessions are all custom to you and your family! The color schemes, any specific themes, the headwear, wraps, backdrops and props is all hand picked for your special baby! We make sure we know what baby likes which is 1:WARMTH 2:CALM 3:A FULL BELLY! All of the things I recommend to you and do during the session are all to keep babe safe, happy and ADORABLE! Have you ever heard "a sleeping baby is a happy baby"? This is especially true during newborn portraits and I just may have the special touch! I don't have a shirt that says "the baby whisperer" for nothing y 'all! Every movement, every pose & every feeding is baby led, and that is one thing I am very adamant on is letting baby lead the session. THEY are the boss during their session especially to tell me what they do and don't like! I am trained in newborn safety and specialize in newborn photography! I feel like that is one of the biggest qualities to look for in a newborn photographer because babes are fragile and should never be at risk! Babies are so little and it seems like it might last for a little bit, but it goes by faster than you can even fully blink! Capture every single one of their details when they're as small as they'll ever be again!

 

Milestone sessions, and cake smash sessions are an absolute necessity to continue capturing their personalities and growth! Each session is customized to what you want, again colors, themes, etc. I love to create a custom and unique set to show off your babe! Creating sets are one of my talents and lets my creative mind flow as I bring what your thoughts are to life and execute the session in a way that you couldn't have even dreamed of! I am a lover of music, so during your babes session there will likely be a ton of singing, clapping and making crazy faces and noises to get their personality to show through beautifully! (Don't worry, i do know how to talk in a normal voice even if I have your little one cracking up at my funny squeaky voice, its just a trick to get some HUGE smiles from the growing munchkins!!).

I truly believe every moment from pre pregnancy, throughout your family growing through multiple generations is so, so, so, very important! I personally have lost important family members that I just never had enough portraits with. My grandmother is the biggest point for me and if I could, I would go back and capture every single moment with her just to share with my boys today! Photographs are the only thing that can make a moment live on forever, so take advantage of the moment and capture it!
