Family Portraits

Family portraits are one of the sessions that are constant and need to be updated at least annually. I always recommend to my clients that you alternate seasons if you plan to update your family photos once a year, and if you plan to do multiple sessions per year (my favorite is twice a year so that you can do spring and fall!) you choose alternating seasons to provide variety! :)

During the booking process for family portraits, we choose to either use the studio to give a timeless and classic look to your family portraits, or we can decide on an outdoor location! I absolutely love the option to use the studio during the cold winter months and for a more timeless look, HOWEVER I love the diverse backgrounds and how much space we have to move around and get TRUE interactions while on location and outdoors. I have a list of location recommendations if you are interested in an outdoor shoot but need help deciding on where you would like your session to take place!

During the session we go through many poses, prompts and groupings of your family. Parents together, each parent with children, children together, children separately, etc. I do this to give a wide variety of photographs to choose from while still keeping the theme the same! During the posing portion, you will get instructions to follow prompts such as walking, tickling your kiddos or even whispering something funny into someones ear to get a genuine laugh and smile! Sometimes these moments are my favorite part of family sessions and create the best photographs that will last for a lifetime to come and share! As always, fur babies are always welcome during sessions as long as there is proper notice prior to booking to ensure there is a buffer in between sessions to disinfect and clean properly to avoid allergens as a service to all of our families!

Family sessions also cover couples/engagement portraits!

Although for portraits, whether family, maternity, milestone, etc. all of the pricing is the $200 session fee, and then photos sold separately! No digital images or prints come with the session fee, this fee is a nonrefundable or transferable fee that covers the planning of the session, the session, and the reveal/ordering session catered to you!

After your session, I edit all of the final images and schedule a time for you to come back into the studio for a private gallery reveal session. This is where you will view all of your edited images and decide what it is you want to do with them! We have many different options that cater to many different wants, needs, and budgets!

All of our prices are listed right on the main investment page as well as here. There is Wall Art, which consists of the choice between Canvas Gallery Wraps, Framed Prints, and Metal Printed Art. We also have your standard Gift Prints. Digital collections are available for those who prefer to print their photographs on their own. One of my favorite options is our Albums and Books, there is two types of books that I offer depending on the style and budget you are looking to keep. There are also other add on items that are available as well depending on season and stock.
